One Day Meditation Intensive w/ Robyn Love

This retreat is an opportunity to deepen one’s meditation practice – to step out of our usual daily activities and devote ourselves fully to the well of introspection. It will be a day of quieting the mind, cultivating both inner and outer silence.
We will begin with seated meditation (zazen) at 9 am and continue sitting, alternating with periods of walking meditation (kinhin), until noon. Then we will share a vegetarian lunch together (provided as part of the retreat), take a brief rest period, and return to our sitting by 1:30 p.m. In mid-afternoon, we will listen to a recorded Dharma talk together, followed by a short yoga session suitable for beginners. We will end the day as we began, in our seated meditation practice, until we close out the day with a recitation of the Four Bodhisattva Vows at 5 p.m.
This retreat is open to anyone who has attended at least one of the free Zen Meditation sessions offered at Namaste Studio. If you have a daily meditation practice but have not sat with us before and wish to join, please contact us before registering.
The retreat will be led by Robyn Love. She has been a formal student in the Mountains and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism since 2010 and took vows (jukai) in 2013
