Join us this summer in Beautiful Burlington, NL for a weekend of Rest, Relaxation, and optional Yoga, Hiking, Meditation and unforgettable fun!
Located in Iceberg Alley on the north shore of "The Rock," 'Ome is the perfect way to experience stunning rural NL. Shaun Majumder, One of Canada’s most well-known actors and comedians, was born and raised in Burlington and still considers it his ‘OME. In his quest to ‘rewrite the rural story of NL’, Shaun spearheaded the ‘Ome project. The ‘Ome project is part of a larger social enterprise; his goal is to bring tourism to his ‘Ome town of Burlington, NL and the surrounding area by creating social businesses which will fuel a sustainable micro economy for the region. When booking, it is very important to note that only ONE person in your party will book the campsite.
The rest of the people in your party will book one of the following two options: Retreat Only OR Retreat + Meals.

Our meals will be catered by Scratch Made Gourmet, a local (Corner Brook) catering company, providing rustic comfort food always made using the finest and freshest ingredients.

Mind-FULL to Mindful: Cultivating Peace in Your Life - with Tracey Stratton
Are you looking to feel more present in your daily life? To respond to stress with grace and wisdom? Discover why so many people are embracing mindfulness to help quiet the mind, cultivate awareness, increase focus, and better manage stress. This workshop is a great introduction for those who are new to mindfulness or meditation and a terrific opportunity for those whose practice could use some re-energizing. This workshop will incorporate breath work, self-talk, mindful movement, and mindful meditation techniques to help participants improve personal awareness and resiliency.
Tracey Wells-Stratton started her yoga journey in her teens and has taken many paths to make her way back to her practice. She has a 200 Hour iInyasa Yoga Certification and teachers adults, children's and families. Her background in Social Work and Mindfulness training informs her teaching style as she endeavours to help others thrive by nurturing their body, mind, and spirit with yoga. Her goal is to create a space that offers a challenge while promoting positivity, acceptance and loving-kindness. Her hope is for you to bring compassion and balance with you throughout your daily life when you step off your mat at the end of class.
What's Patanjali Got To Do With It? - with Robyn Love
Most of us know that yoga is more than just physical postures or āsana, but what, exactly, is it? And what does it have to do with our busy, complicated lives in 2018? Patanjali's Yoga Sutra was written over 1500 years ago yet it has much to offer us today as a guide to living a happier, more fulfilling life. The Yoga Sutra is a practical description of how our mind and body works and how we can use them as tools to end our suffering. It is easy to think that the Yoga Sutra is some dusty, old Sanskrit relic but, in fact, it is very alive and well! Let's dive in together and see what it can teach us.
This session will include lecture and discussion, a short, gentle āsana practice, prānāyāma (breathwork) and we will learn the Vedic chant Sahanāvavatu in the traditional manner.
Robyn Love has studied the Yoga Sutra with Srivatri Ramaswami (one of Sri Krishnamacharya's students for 30 years), Edwin Bryant, author of one of the most popular commentaries on the Yoga Sutra, Paul Sherbow and Chase Bossart. She is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist living in Gillams, NL.
Flight School: Taxiing the Runway & Preparing for Lift-Off - with Dennis Wass
Have you ever wanted to fly? Perhaps you saw someone floating elegantly over a yoga mat with only their hands beneath them. Many of us are intimidated by the prospect of standing on our hands, but FEAR NOT! This yoga workshop gradually works on arm strength and goes into the details of alignment that is important for arm balances. This session is guaranteed to work up a sweat as you do a warm up asana, learn about key anatomy, and conquer the fear of falling! Join me and dare to fly.
Dennis Wass studied yoga at namaste Studios with nancy Buckle. He brings insight from the worlds of bodybuilding, judo, and breakdancing to this workshop. He is an eclectic soul, being a trained blacksmith, clown and now yoga instructor in Corner Brook, NL.
