60+ Active Yoga - 5 Weeks (April 2-30)

This 6 week yoga program is designed to build strength, balance, flexibility. You will be encouraged to move at your own pace honouring your body or any limitations. Modifications of basic poses will be offered as well as the use of props (blocks, blankets & straps, etc.) to assist with your alignment & keep you safe in your pose. Each week will have a different focus to include postures, breathing & mindfulness developing awareness & ease to with guide your yoga experience. This supportive & non-competitive environment is perfect for those new to yoga or returning to yoga following an extended period.

Yoga makes us feel good all-around, improving our sense of well-being and making us feel lighter, more connected to ourselves and appreciative of the important relationships in our lives.
Many of these benefits are no different for seniors (60+). As we get older, muscles tend to stiffen, our joints lose their range of motion and we become more susceptible to chronic problems such as osteoporosis, arthritis and heart disease.
